the dragon

cropped-img_1745.pngThe dragon pushed off the ground with a heavy force, which made the very earth vibrate. Its scales shimmered brightly in the sun, being a sparkling ocean blue, as the powerful and almost forceful wind held the dragon high. The creatures below scurried in horror into hiding as the dragon flew by swiftly. The very eyes of the dragon being bright emerald green, shined with pleasure as to which soaring brought it. For the dragon feared none, being the most terrible and mighty creature of them all. It breathed furious golden fire, burning anything it wished into a black crisp. It glided across the sky with all gayness, watching the miles of forest and field and water go by. For the dragon never got hungry, and never thirsty, always being provided for. Therefore, life as a dragon was plentiful and prosperous, until a dragon rider came along into existence one day, but that is another story.

Rain refreshes the Earth. It’s like a potion of cleanness which purifies the dirtiness of the lands. It fills up the tummies of any thirsty plants, and renews the dryness of the air itself. It’s a giant shower to rinse off the dusty surface of almost anything it touches delicately. It carries a certain and unique scent with it, as it glides through an area of a place. It softens roughness, and smoothens non-smoothness. It makes a different sound which travels into every ear of everything around. It’s see-through and clear, though you can see it with practically no difficulty at all. It’s a beautiful and a most pleasant gift given to us on Earth, so we should ever be so thankful for it until we someday leave it.

first post: “colder seasons”

I stepped a few steps out of the doorway, and it was a day like any other in late June in Virginia. This was my house. Well, I should say my parents’ house, I just happen to still live here too. It’s a lovely house; with a light blue paint job on the outside, white borders, and cozy on the inside complete with a warm fireplace–my favorite place to read in the late afternoons when it’s too chilly for me outside. But it’s summer right now, which means warm sun beams and I can go without a sweater. It’s nice. But I do have to admit that I think I like colder seasons better. More fun to drink hot chocolate and have a soft blanket wrapped around me, and watch movies with the family.. and watch the snow fall. The light, magical snow. One of my favorite parts. Yes, it snows every year for sure, and for a while, but it never seems to have gotten old with me, for I’ve always enjoyed it. And good that I do otherwise I’m sure I’d be sick of it and be moving to Florida or something. Plus, in November and December mainly, my grandma makes the best oatmeal cookies. Mm! What a life, what a state, I love Virginia. But mostly in the colder seasons.
